What started off as a personal style choice for herself, Darlene’s ties quickly began to turn heads. One day, her niece encouraged her to start a business— thus, the inspiration of Divine Ties LLC was created. From there, Darlene began collecting tie donations in her community and quickly garnished over 400 intricate pieces to jumpstart her business venture. Her objective moving forward is to shine a light on the versatility of women’s fashion; all while spreading the message that fashion in and of itself has no age. At 67, Darlene is creating and dominating her own lane within the fashion industry.
